Guide to Obzor

Obzor is situated midway between Bourgas and Varna. 

Obzor has the longest stretch of beach between Golden Sands and Sunny Beach, the beach runs for approx 6km and boasts many beach bars and small cafes.
There is a range of watersports but general atmosphere is one of peace and quiet, in fact often the only sound that can be heard is the waves sweeping along the shore.

At the ens of Ozbor beach lies a hidden cove with a hidden stretch of sand a great place to visit and take photos.

The origins of the town, which the ancient Greeks knew as Heliopolis (Town of the Sun), can be seen in the small park which is lined with columns and statuary fragments from a Roman temple to Jupiter which once graced the spot. The Romans also built a fortress in the vicinity to protect their sea trading routes between Constantinople and the Danube. Medieval Bulgarians constructed their own Kozyak fortress nearby.
Obzor is a quieter resort in comparison to Sunny Beach. 

It has a good range of restaurants most serving traditional Bulgarian cuisine.
