Guide to Bansko

Situated in the foothills of one of Bulgarias most beautiful mountains, Bansko is a charming and historic town.  Bansko is known for its alpine skiing, hiking and climing centre.  In winter the alpine character of the Pinn Mountains create skiing conditions for all skiiers from beginners to professionals.  In summer Bansko charms in its own beauty and is a fantastic destination for anyone who enjoys walking or hiking or for those who juat want to relax in this beautiful mountain resort.

There are a number of quaint friendly bars and 100s taverns serving tradional Bulgrian cuisine.

Bansko does not have a vast amount of shops but you will always be able to find souvenies from local handwork to embroidered goods.
