Area activities
Obzor nestles at the edge of the foothills of the Stara Planina mountain range. This ancient and picturesque town with its myriad of open air cafes and restaurants offer an excellent choice of both Bulgarian and international cuisine.
Many restaurants will entertain you with live folk music, dancing, boutiques and gift shops are in abundance. The town also has an open air theatre, cinema and disco for the more energetic. Obzor offers tennis, horse riding and a full range of water sports at very reasonable prices.
A visit to Varna - the capital of the Black Sea coast - is a must. And in contrast the ancient towns of Nessebar, now Unesco world heritage site and Veliko Tarnovo with its traditional stone and wooden houses and only 20 kilometres to the south should not be missed. The village of Byala, once home to the ancient Greek fortress Aspro is just 3km to the north and also produces the fine Dimyat vintage wine very palatable and inexpensive
Driving directions
Obzor is situated 65 km south of Varna and 73 km north of Bourgas. The Varna to Bourgas coast road goes right through the resort of Obzor.
Regular buses travel between Vara and Bourgas stopping in the Obzor bus terminal .
Full driving instructions can be given prior to departure.
Airports
Obzor can be reached via 2 airports, Varna to the north and Bourgas to the south. Easyjet now fly to Sofia and connecting flights can be made to the coastal towns.
Other transport
Collection and transport to the apartment from Varna or Bourgas can be arranged at extra cost.
