Svydnia is a small village in the Balkan mountains overlooking the Iskar Gorge and is situated 5 kilometers from the town of Svoge and 40 kilometers from Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria. The village has two Café/Bars , two Supermarkets, a Post Office and a Church. There is also a war memorial in the centre of the village. A river can be found running through the village, it is in a very peaceful location and well worth a visit. The town of Svoge is 5 kilometers from Svydnia and is easily accessible via taxi or bus . The town of Svoge has a choice of Shops, a Supermarket, several Restaurants and Bars and a daily Market. and In the centre of Svoge the Railway Station can be found, with a good service into the capital (Sofia). Svoge is the home of Bulgarian Chocolate and evidence of this can be found in all the shops in Svoge. Out and about there is an outdoor swimming complex and an Archaeological Museum. There is also several Childrens play areas. |
